This site is dedicated to honoring Yoshiki Hayashi.

Where did you get the name?

I first though of the name when I bought some X'tasy incense sticks from Third Planet at my local mall. I immediately fell in love with the smell of them. After I got home I of course lit a stick and let it burn for a while. I was flipping though random photos I found one of Yoshiki and then it finally hit me. Either I'm really slow or just mad, but I finally realized that I was looking at a picture of a man who created a company named Extasy and smelling the sent of X'tasy incense.

For a while had wanted to build a website for Yoshiki, but of course, every good website has to have a catchy name. So, I changed the spelling of Ecstasy to the spelling that Yoshiki uses for the company and throw the word Incense on the end. I though Extasy Incense was a good name for a website that honored Yoshiki.

Why did you name the site Extasy Incense?

An incense stick, as most people know, burns for a long time. It leaves a pleasant reminder around the room as it slowly reaches the end and burns out. The graceful movements of the smoke as it drifts and slowly disappears in the air has a calming feeling.

In a way this reminds me of Yoshiki. His light burned the brightest in the days of X (Japan). His long carrier in X captured his fans, and with the sweet sound of the piano, he brought a sence of calmness to everyone. But with a bright flame there is soon to comes smoke and ash. After the flame died down, Yoshiki slowly disappeared from view. The melodies of X still linger in the hearts of his fans as they remember the calmness they felt when his flam was bright.

Although Yoshiki's flame is small and barely visible, it still burns on. Leaving a trail of memories behind that will one day become lost and scattered like all things in time. But until his flame buns out, and the winds of change blow through and replace his presents with that of a new generation, Yoshiki will burn. His flam with ride on the hopes and dreams of his fans and his own concisions.

I hope that Yoshiki's flame will burn for a long time to come and by the time the flame reaches the end of the stick, I hope the it will have burned with the same passion and brillince it did in the beginning.
